Fellowship and House Committee

This committee organise the weekly meetings, ie the venue, the catering details those Rotarians on duty etc.

 

Classification, Membership and Public Relations Committee

This committee is responsible for the recruitment and classification of new members, wherever possible Rotary discourages to many members of any one profession classification becoming members of the same club.

Due to the size of the Rotary Club of Banbury i.e. 70 members, it is entitled to have 5 members of any one classification; these can be retired or members who are still working.

This Committee meets the prospective new members and advises them of the time and financial commitment they will need to make if they join Rotary.

This committee is also responsible for the club Public Relations, it liaises with the local Newspapers, Radio and Television Stations to obtain media coverage of Rotary events. In particular Financial Donations that allows the general public to be aware of where their donations are being given to, and to give publicity to the recipient organisation.

This committee also produces a monthly club “Bulletin” for all members of the club. It lists future events, speaker reports over the last month and it includes a list of future speakers, member’s lunchtime duties and attendance record details.
