On the morning of 10th August, Alan Wolstencroft will be doing a twenty-mile sponsored bike ride with a target of raising £1,300 to replace the galvanized zinc roof at Kono Town Primary School. It is over 20 years since he has ridden a bike and he has only done limited training due to the hot weather. Under the auspices of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award the Rotary Club of Banbury has sponsored two students from the Griffiths Centre, Frank Wise School to attend the Calvert Trust, Exmoor each year since 2012.
Tyler Saunderson and Katelyn Bonham were the lucky participants this year.

A Variety Show in Memory of Marilyn Fairbairn
Marilyn used to arrange Variety Shows at St. Mary's Church in Horsefair, Banbury. Andrew Fairbairn is arranging one in her name to be held on 27th September, 2025 starting at 7.30pm. Proceeds will be going to a proposed new cafe facility which would be close to Marilyn's heart, given how enthusiastically and warmly she welcomed people to the church.
